The OSA Academy, also known as Heylhi Sports Club, recently organized a dedicated Handball Training Camp that brought together young athletes and professional trainers for an intensive program. The event was part of the academy’s ongoing efforts to develop the next generation of handball players in the Maldives.
Focused Training for All Levels
A total of 29 students, all from the Academy’s Handball Program, participated in the camp. The group consisted of girls aged 4 to 15 years, who are actively developing their skills through structured training opportunities. This initiative highlights the academy’s commitment to providing young athletes with both foundational skills and advanced training in the sport.

Trainers and Leadership
The camp was led by four trainers exclusively from the academy staff, ensuring that the coaching remained consistent with the Academy’s program. A key highlight of the training camp was the participation of Coach Sofee, a renowned handball coach in the Maldives from Future Academy, whose expertise brought additional value to the sessions. His guidance and experience were particularly inspiring for both students and trainers.
Structure of the Camp
The training camp spanned four days, featuring two sessions per day, with each session lasting two hours. This structure allowed for focused practice, skill refinement, and tactical awareness, ensuring students received comprehensive exposure to both physical and technical aspects of handball.

A Step Toward Growth
This program marked another milestone in OSA Academy’s mission to enhance the sporting culture in the Maldives. By combining rigorous practice sessions with the mentorship of experienced coaches, the camp not only improved the skills of the participants but also strengthened the Academy’s reputation as a nurturing ground for handball talent.
